Tell us a bit about the founder & the label.
Jewellery designer Ruchi Kochhar has carved her own place among jewellery lovers with her unique design collection at StyleAura®. Her creations are meant for the ones who value creativity and art. After completing her graduation and certification in small business management and fashion merchandising from US, she started her journey of StyleAura® as an exclusive jewellery store for women. With her creativity and vision, she has been able to transform the role of jewellery for a modern, multifaceted woman . She is also a Reiki practitioner and holds a certificate in Counselling. It was the love and interest in holistic healing that attracted elements of natural stones with unique properties for the work to begin and designs to evolve.
How has StyleAura evolved over the years?
StyleAura® has carved a niche for itself in the handcrafted jewellery industry. The brand aspires to revolutionize the world of beauty and glamour by changing the way people perceive ornamentation. Jewellery is an intensely personal art form, whose value transcends that of a mere accessory. It holds a place of sentimental value and importance. Thus, StyleAura® hopes to inspire women to believe in themselves and be bold to express their individuality with a unique aura of style and energy.
Why is making so important to you?
Making brings out the uniqueness of design sensibility that can’t be acquired from an open market. Women have a personalised taste in accessorising as per individual style and statement they choose to make. Hence customising to their requirements makes in-house production significant.
Your work space.
We have our design studio at Whitefield, Bangalore, It’s a cosy little eco-friendly space that is high on energy.
Describe your artistic process.
The variety of natural stones and beads are sourced from across India and the world. They then go through a cleansing process and energised with holistic symbols for general well being, They are then laid on a design table to be designed and explained to the karigar. Once strung, it is checked and finished.
What is currently on your work table?
At present working on moonstone and baroque pearl collection.
What is your personal favorite pick from your brand right now? And why?
My personal favourite at the moment is Pearl and Rutile Quartz design. Its light weight, versatile and elegant to wear.
What are your displaying at the By Hand, From The Heart.
We will have a combination of natural Agates. Onyx, Moonstones and Cubic Zirconia.
