Today on the blog we feature Tejal Bajla – Akshay Jalan, Founders, Brainsmith, Mumbai. Lets’ find out about their children learning aid venture and their journey so far. Read on…

Please introduce yourselves.

Hi! I’m Tejal Bajla and I’m a mompreneur. Having a 5-year-old son and starting my own venture has been the greatest journey for me. My co-founder Akshay Jalan is the business and operations genius behind the brand. We’ve put together a team of educators, designers, marketing ninjas and psychologists to excavate the early learning space and provide the best to parents for early learning.

How did you begin Brainsmith and how has it evolved?

Brainsmith was founded out of my relentless pursuit to find innovative and novel ways to stimulate my son’s mind. While exploring early learning products that would stimulate his brain, lead me to further research my already existing interest in Early Brain Development, hence Brainsmith was formed. At Brainsmith we are dedicated to creating innovative learning materials that stimulate young minds and foster a lifelong love for learning.

What is your personal favorite title from your Brainsmith? And why?

Having done all of these sets with my son, I think picking one favourite would be a mammoth task. However, a few sets that I can pick at any time and read even for my entertainment, would have to be Countries and National Flags. Having not liked geography in school, I’ve never formed a greater interest in these because of the ease in learning with Quantum Cards.

What are your displaying at the By Hand, From The Heart.

Quantum Cards are large format 11 by 11-inch flash cards with a clear picture on the front and detailed encyclopaedic information at the back. They are very effective in stimulating the visual and auditory pathways of little children. All the images on our cards are hand illustrated by artists to ensure authenticity and consistency. Our superior quality, size, range of topics and content is what makes us unique.
