The story of By Hand From The Heart began not as a business plan, but as a shared belief.
In a small Chennai courtyard, two makers came together with a vision—to create a platform that honours India’s artisans with care, context, and community.
From those humble beginnings, the idea grew into a movement of craft and connection.
Today, after 30 editions across Chennai, Coimbatore, and Madurai, By Hand From The Heart remains a celebration of the people and stories that give meaning to mindful craft.
Who Are We
Together, Deepa and Kshiti grew By Hand From The Heart into one of South India’s most respected handmade shopping platforms—championing conscious consumerism, sustainable design, and artisan-led brands.
What We Do
We host three seasonal handmade markets every year in Chennai, with editions also traveling to other cities in South India. Each event is curated with precision—from the brands we showcase to the layout, flow, and feel of the space.
